Neymar wins Golden Samba award for the fourth time

PSG starlet Neymar won the Golden Samba 2020 award which rewards the best Brazilian player playing abroad. He is considered one of the greatest players in Brazilian and world football.

The Golden Samba is a distinction awarded by Sambafoot to the best Brazilian player of the year.  It exists since 2008 and Neymar is the one who has won it most often.

We remind you that he was elected best South American player of the year in 2011 and 2012. He also ranked 10th in the Ballon d’Or 2011, 13th in 2012 and 5th in 2013 and 2016.In 2011. He won the Bola de Ouro for the best player in the Brazilian championship.

PSG are currently playing for their place in Ligue 1 and Champions League. They hope to win against Manchester City in the second leg on May 4. This victory will allow them to reach the finalist place in the Champions League.

Fourth Golden Samba for Neymar

This is the fourth consecration of the former Barcelona player after 2014, 2015, and 2017. This year he becomes the one who has won the most. Before him, it was Thiago Silva, who had it three times.

The announcement was made by the Twitter account Neymar Jr through a publication.  It shows Neymar posing with the prestigious trophy, and reminding his statistics of the year 2020.He hopes to have more in the future and of course win the Ballon d’Or.

Despite the pandemic that has greatly affected the sports world since the beginning of 2020, Neymar has had a great season. He has distinguished himself during this season by scoring 23 goals and making 12 assists. He also guided his Parisian team to the final of the Champions League 2020 despite the 0-1 defeat against Bayern
