Nicolas Jackson ban decision made: Chelsea face heavy charges

Nicolas Jackson was facing a suspension crisis at Chelsea. The 23-year-old was a part of the altercation that took place against Nottingham. The Blues were hosting them in the game week 7 of the Premier League. It was an eventful game full of frustration for the home side. The away team took the lead in surprising fashion after a goalless first half. The Blues did manage to bounce back. At the same time, the travelling team were down by a man. But, Enzo Maresca and his side were still unable to wrap up with a win. As a result, they ended up dropping points at home.

Eventually, the 23-year-old striker would flail his palm at Morato in an attempt to slap him. The on-field referee was unable to spot the incident. VAR did review it but decided not to intervene. Nicolas Jackson was facing a suspension crisis after the incident came to light once again. But, as per the latest reports, there will be no ban imposed as such. So, the striker will be available in the next league game too.

What it means for Chelsea…

Both Cucurella and Wesley Fofana ended up picking their 5th yellow cards. So, they won’t be available for the away game against Liverpool. At the same time, the FA would charge both the teams with ‘mass confrontation’. The Blues also ended up taking 6 yellow cards so they will face a fine of £25,000. As per goal, they did it the second time this season. So, they will now face a fine of £50,000. On the plus side, Nicolas Jackson will play for Chelsea. But, these fines will cost plenty of damage too.
