Nottingham Forest are preparing a club-record bid to sign in-form Premier League star. This will come as a blow for Arsenal who have been long-term admirers of the player.
The star in question here is Mathues Cunha who plays for Wolves. Cunha has been very good for Wolves since joining them but has been superb this season. He has scored 10 goals and picked 4 assists in 21 league games so far.
Gunners are closely monitoring Cunha and have done this since a very long time. They are keen to sign him in the middle of the season but are opposed by his current club. Instead, Wolves are planning to extend his contract.
Earlier, it was said that Cunha has agreed personal terms with Wolves for new contract. However, the new contract is not yet signed and it is said that the Brazilian may very likely move away from the Molineux stadium this month itself.
Gunners were joined by Chelsea, Spurs and Nottingham Forest in the race to sign Cunha. It is now reported that Forest are preparing a club-record bid to sign the 25 year old.
