Bayern is in dire need of a backup left back in case of Davies and Hernandez’s absence and guess what they have finally found it. Noussair Mazraoui after his impressive performance with the Moroccan national team against Croatia raised hopes for Bayern. After Hernandez got injured and already experienced Davies’s absence for quite a while, they were dead set on finding a left back. And that’s where Mazraoui comes in as their savior.
Bayern’s hopes in Mazraoui
Even though Mazraoui plays as a right-back, he has already proved himself to be that effective on the left. Bayern were in talks with Stuttgart full-back Borna Sosa but they are not interested anymore. Sosa has an offensive style.
Mazraoui can adapt to any situation needed be it offensive or defensive. Hence the club is not not really in the mood for a new backup.
Noussair was seen to be moved out of the field with a stretcher which does create some concerns for Bayern. They will hope this is not serious. Bayern’s wish for a defensively superior left back might be fulfilled by the Moroccan youngster and they will look forward to play out that scenario.
