ATK Mohun Bagan thrashes Odisha FC by 4-1 in an Indian Super League clash on Saturday at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim, Goa.

ATK Mohun Bagan are having a comfortable journey so far in the league, and after this win against the Juggernauts, they have thirty points in fifteen matches. Which makes them only three points behind Mumbai City.

Odisha FC on the other hand are falling apart. They have only eight points in their fifteen matches being at the bottom of the table, since the very beginning of the League.

Antonio Lopez Habas gaffer of Mohun Bagan changed their formation after the clash against Kerala and used (4-4-2) as their latest formation. He made a couple of changes in the team by adding S Bose as the left-back and changing the entire midfield with M Singh, Halder, Rodriguez, and Hernandez.

Stuart Baxter also changed the formation of the team from (4-4-2) to (4-3-3) after losing against Jamshedpur by a narrow margin. Baxter also made two changes in the team playing Dhot in place of Tratt and adding Alexander in place of Inman.

Fijian Striker Roy Krishna Outshined the Juggernauts By scoring a brace as well as by providing the same number of assists.

The match started up with ATK completely dominating the game. Mariners started the match on the ascendancy and looked motivated to pick up an early goal. And in the eleventh minute, The Fijian sets up the ball for Manvir on the right side who slots the ball home.

Inspite of keeping up the pressure Mariners failed to score any goal after Mnvir’s strike but when the first half was going to end on behalf of the Mariners in the forty-sixth minute Alexander the South African midfielder finds the back of the net with a long-ranger. And the first half ends in a draw.

Right After the second-half kicks off The Mariners again start to Dominate the field and within ten minutes Manvir manages to find the back of the net and makes the score 2-1 for Mohun Bagan.

Mariners being ahead with a narrow margin refused to lean back and posseted threats throughout the game and finally, in the eighty-third minute Mariners got a penalty due to the handball made by Alexander. Roy Krishna converted it and killed the chances of any late comeback. Their misery even piled up more when Roy Krishna Scored another goal and the match ended in a 4-1 loss for Odisha.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Manvir Singh: Manvir registered a brace by scoring the first two goals for Mohun Bagan. Manvir was excellent throughout the game.

Roy Krishna: Krishna was involved in all four goals for his side as he bagged two assists and two goals.
