Palmer gives Chelsea boost ahead of next match

Chelsea have missed some of their key players due to injury recently. The Chelsea fans finally have some good news as their main superstar Cole Palmer is fit to play the next match. This has given Enzo Maresca a boost ahead of their Premier League fixture against Bournemouth on saturday.

Maresca will be without his main right backs this weekend. Reece James has not played since the start of the season. Malo Gusto who started all of the league matches this season is doubtful. Moises Caicedo could be seen as a fullback against Bournemouth.

Palmer fit to play in the next Chelsea match

According to talkSPORT, Cole Palmer is set to return in action against Bournemouth. He returned from England national team’s camp without playing due to muscle fatigue. There were rumours about his absence lasting for long time. However, he was seen back in first team training.

Palmer has already started the 2024/25 season on a high note. He has scored one goal along with providing four assists in just three Premier League matches. Palmer was Chelsea’s player of the season for the amazing 2023/24 season. He ended the season with 25 goals and 15 assists in 45 matches.

Palmer has been given a new role by Enzo Maresca. He is playing in the middle instead of right wing. Noni Madueke has taken his place on the right flank and is doing very well.

Palmer and Madueke did very well in a match against Wolves where Chelsea scored 6 goals. Palmer was able to score once along with providing three assists. On the other hand, Madueke scored a hattrick which earned him a spot in England national team. Madueke made his international debut against Finland as a substitute. He was able to play to play 24 minutes in which he assisted Harry Kane’s second goal.
