Juventus has signed Paul Pogba on a free transfer yet again from Manchester United this summer. The club signed the midfielder in an attempt to bolster their midfield. Massimiliano Allegri has overhauled the midfield this summer as Aaron Ramsey, Dennis Zakaria, and Arthur have left the club.
Meanwhile, the club has signed Paul Pogba and Leandro Paredes as reinforcements in this window. However, the club is set to miss the French international for a long period of the season. Initially, it was thought that the midfielder will miss a few games at the start of the season.
However, the injury has turned out to be more serious than that. The player is set to sit on the sidelines for a major chunk of the first half season. This is a huge blow to the club who have reposed their faith in the midfielder again.
Paul Pogba is not the only injury concern for Juventus
Federico Chiesa is also currently out injured along with Paul Pogba. The Italian international was one of the most important players for the club before his injury. The winger was also instrumental in Italy National Team’s success at the UEFA Euro last year.
The Italian is set to miss a large chunk of this year as well due to injury. This is a big blow to Juventus who lack adequate depth in the attacking department. Regardless of the options, the quality that Federico Chiesa possessed is irreplaceable. Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa were intended to be the central figures this season.
However, it is also important to rush the players back into the first team. We have seen with players like Eden Hazard that rushing back can do major damage in the long run. Therefore, it is important to allow Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa adequate time for recovery. Hopefully, the squad can step up in their absence and make up for the lack of these star players in the meantime!!
