Paulo Dybala has reportedly set his sights on a move to FC Barcelona in the coming summer. Paulo Dybala’s contract with Juventus is up in the summer and he is reportedly looking for pastures new.
Juventus and Paulo Dybala were close to signing a contract extension a few months ago. However, Juventus pulled out of the deal due to financial reasons.
They were also not content with Dybala’s performances after a drop in Dybala’s form. Dybala has also failed to feature regularly for Juventus due to several injuries leaving his career at a standstill.
Where does Paulo Dybala’s future lie?
Juventus are reportedly ready to offer Dybala a new contract. However, the wages offered are below than what Dybala is hoping for. Several clubs have been keeping an eye on Paulo Dybala’s contractual situation. Clubs like Inter Milan, Barcelona, and Tottenham have all been in contact with Dybala’s entourage.
A move to Inter Milan seems unlikely as Dybala’s loyalty lies with Juventus. However, he received concrete offers from Spurs and Barcelona.
Recent reports have emerged stating that Barcelona are in pole position to snap up the Argentine. Dybala is in favor to move to Camp Nou. Barcelona have tried signing Paulo Dybala previously though their attempt was rebuffed by Juventus.
However, a move to Barcelona may materialize this summer if Juventus don’t match Dybala’s wage demands. Dybala’s future remains open and may start a rat race between several clubs. A reunion with Antonio Conte is also on the cards may also be a tempting proposition for Dybala.
Juventus have recently dished out 75 million to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. Recent rumors have suggested that Max Allegri is looking at new players for Juventus’ project and Dybala is not a part of that plan. Come summer, a move to a new league is the likely outcome for Dybala’s future. Meanwhile, Barcelona are plotting in moves for Haaland’s alternatives if they fail to get him and Dybala is a name on their list. It may not come as a surprise if we see Dybala donning a Barcelona jersey in the summer.
