Pep Guardiola engaged in a fresh spat with Jose Mourinho

It’s quite conventional to have clashes within the Clubs, as it becomes a mere chance of miscalculation and downgrading their respective player performance.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has stripped on England head coach Gareth Southgate to name the managers, he claimed are pressurizing players to withdraw from England matches, alleviating from their commitment to the International duty.

Raheem Sterling has been withdrawn from the squad due to a calf problem and Mourinho drew a contrast between the City winger’s players, particularly Eric Dier who was forced to pull out of the last month’s internationals with a hamstring issue that subsequently ruled him out of the club fixtures.

Pep Guardiola hits back at Jose Mourinho:

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was questioned by the Spurs manager Jose Mourinho to answer his accusations early this Friday.

“When Eric Dier left the national team injured in the previous month, he didn’t play two matches for Tottenham.

“He needed a couple of weeks to recover and Raheem is going to play tomorrow. These are the little details I think Gareth should explain us to all”.

These aspersions that came ahead of the match between Citizens and Spurs prompted for a joke about Mourinho’s medical expertise. Guardiola hits back at Spurs coach’s Sterling claims.

“Mourinho has to go to the Doctors-except if maybe is a doctor

I said about the doctor because he accused something which is not true and that he has to speak with his doctors about all these other things.

Don’t ask me because I’m almost 50, so I’m old enough to understand.”

Sterling was unavailable for international duty last month, ruled out with a hamstring injury, and yet started City’s next game, scoring the only goal in a win over Arsenal.

Mourinho’s Tottenham is in the second spot, with a continuous momentum, leading with five points and eight places above City in the Premier League 2020-21 standings.

Guardiola has signed for a two-year contract extension with Manchester City, earlier this week, adding on to the incredible successes seen by the club.
