Spurs moved back to the 1st position with this important win whereas the Gunners struggle at the 15th position in the Premier League table.

Tottenham made nine changes in the starting 11. They started with a 4-2-3-1 formation. Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld were included on the bench.

Hugo Lloris also returned to the lineup. However, Gareth Bale was available only as a substitute.

Arsenal made eleven changes in the starting 11 after the match against Rapid Wien. They played in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Willian came back in the starting lineup. New signing Thomas Partey was excited about a North London derby experience.

Spurs had goals from counter-attacks whereas Arsenal had the most possession. However, Son Heung-Min broke the deadlock with a long-range effort as early as the 13th minute.

Harry Kane scored the second goal in the first add-on minute for the first half. Although the Kane-Son duo were simply fantastic.

For the Gunners, Hector Bellerin and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were looking dangerous. However, most of their brilliant attacks were forced into the counterattack by Spurs.

Bukayo Saka had a wonderful set-piece blocked by Hugo Lloris and Alexandre Lacazette couldn’t find the target past him.

The match was similar to the Spurs’ match against Manchester City. The opponents had the ball majorly, but Tottenham only focusing on counterattacks.

Notable Performances:

Harry Kane (8/10) – He was brilliant and scored his 100th home goal for the Spurs and 250th goal for both his club and country. In addition to this, he also assisted Son in a peach of a goal.

Heung-Min Son (7/10) – The South Korean international has been in his best form and his goal was amazing! He along with Kane had been a formidable duo scoring 31 goals across all competitions. They are just 5 goals shy of the record held by the duo of Frank Lampard-Didier Drogba (36 goals).

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (9/10) MOM- He kept Lacazette at bay and not allowing to create chances. He even tested Leno with a well-taken shot. As a result, he has really been a “bully” for the opponents
