Predicted Chelsea XI vs Gent with Cole Palmer, Nkunku decisions

Enzo Maresca expected to make a lot of changes to his team ahead of the UEFA Conference League opening match against Gent. Maresca will most probably make 11 changes in the team. Cole Palmer is expected to get replaced by Christopher Nkunku as Enzo Maresca is expected to make a lot of changes with the team.

The Blues are going to be playing against the Belgian giants, Gent tonight. They will be playing at Chelsea’s home, Stamford bridge. This is Chelsea’s opening match in the Group Stage.

In the last four games, the blues only conceded two goals. Both of the goals came in the first half. Maresca is thinking about making a lot of changes for Chelsea because in the Barrow match, he changed the entire starting 11. They also did the same against West Ham United. Chelsea scored 13 goals in the last 4 matches together. It will be five consecutive wins for Chelsea if the blues win against Gent tonight.

Predicted XI against Gent:

(GK)Filip Jörgensen: Jorgensen has been one of the best keepers for Chelsea this season. Maresca chose him in most of the matches. Roberto Sanchez did not perform well this weekend so this is Filip’s opportunity to perform tonight against Gent.

Defense:

(RB) Axel Disasi: Disasi will play as a right back for Chelsea. Malo Gusto will be on rest and Reece James still on the sidelines, Maresca’s preferred right back would be Disasi.

(CB) Tosin Adarabioyo: The Centre back has been performing very well for Chelsea lately. Tosin Adarabioyo is expected to start because Wesley Fofana is not named in the UEFA Conference League squad.

(CB) Benoît Badiashile: With Levi Colwill put on rest, Benoît Badiashile will start against Gent He has been performing very well in the previous matches against Servette and Barrow. He will partner up with Tosin.

(LB) Renato Veiga: The player will replace Marc Cucurella in the left back position. Maresca has been playing him in the left back position where he has been performing really well for the team since a long time.

Midfield:

(CM) Cesare Casadei: The Italian international put up a really good performance against Barrow. He has been playing well in the central midfield position and as per Maresca, he can adapt very well to the position.

(CM) Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: He is a very good player but he was left out in the Brighton match. He did not get injured. He can partner up with Casadei for the Gent match tonight.

(CAM) João Félix: Felix will start for the second time this season most probably. He performed very well against Barrow. He is a very versatile player. Maresca might play him in the number 10 position.

Attack:

(LW) Mykhailo Mudryk: In the middle of reports of him leaving, the Ukrainian international has been failing to perform well. He was okay in the Barrow match but he did not perform well, rest of the season. Mudryk has a chance to prove himself tonight in the match against Gent.

(RW) Pedro Neto: Pedro Neto will replace Madueke in the right wing position. Pedro Neto has been performing very well since the last few matches. He is a very skilful winger with flair.

(ST) Christopher Nkunku: Nicolas Jackson has been overshadowing Christopher Nkunku this season mostly. Although, Nkunku has been great for Chelsea, and a very great talent, he did not get enough starts for Chelsea. Nkunku may start instead of Cole Palmer tonight against Gent. He scored 6 goals already this season for Chelsea.

So, this was the predicted Chelsea XI for tonight against the Belgian Team, Gent, in the UEFA Conference League.
