PSG vs Barcelona: Preview and Predicted Line-ups

It’s the 2nd leg of PSG vs Barcelona in the Parc des Princes in the Champion’s League Round -16. Barcelona have to overcome a 4-1 deficit in the second leg of its last 16 Champions League tie against the PSG.

Four years ago, Barcelona had a 4-0 first-leg loss to beat the Ligue 1 side 6-5 overall in one of the most extraordinary turnarounds in the tournament’s history.

This time, the scale of the challenge is comparable, with PSG running out of 4-1 first-leg winners last month at Camp Nou, thanks to Kylian Mbappe’s hat trick. Mauricio Pochettino is going to be desperate to see his side finish the job back at Parc des Princes as they look to go one better than last season when Bayern beat them in the final.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona: Preview

Since then, Barca has won four in a row, scored ten goals, and conceding none. They advanced to the top three points of Atletico Madrid in the league and reached the Copa del Rey final, coming back from losing a 2-0 first leg against Sevilla to win 3-2 overall.

Koeman has moved to a new system of three central defenders, two wing-backs, and two forwards. Good form, however, against less impressive opponents in the league and cup proved to be a poor predictor of the chances of Barcelona in the first leg.

Ronald Koeman’s men are in good shape domestically. Scoring four times against the French PSG champions in the second leg seems a mission too difficult for the Mercurial Lionel Messi. Barcelona having little choice but to make an all-out attack from the first minute.

It’s an amusing affair that looks at Kylian Mbappe’s raw pace cards as a powerful PSG weapon on the breakaway. Mbappe did much of the harm in the first leg by scoring a hat trick. The 22-year-old will be sure he’ll get back on the scoresheet by taking advantage. While it would be a surprise if the hosts were to hold a clean sheet against Messi and Co. PSG is expected to sit deep with an eye on getting a lot of possession out of Barcelona.
