Ralf Ragnick has confirmed that Anthony Martial wishes to leave Manchester United. The Red Devils Interim Head coach has admitted the fact that the Frenchman will leave in January. Martial has been struggling to get more game time in a United squad which looks frightening on paper. Despite a flying start to the season, their form has dipped but with Ragnick in charge as the Head coach, they will hope to turn their fortunes around.

Anthony Martial’s agent recently gave hints that the Frenchman is looking for a new challenge next year. Martial was among the best young Strikers when he came to Old Trafford. He arrived at Manchester United when Louis Van Gaal was the Head Coach in 2015 and he had a good time at the beginning of his tenure. Anthony Martial also won the FA Cup the very next year and was a regular name in United’s Starting 11.

However, due to Injuries and less game time he fell out of contention for selection in United’s starting line-up. The Rise of young and talented Forwards like Marcus Rashford and Jessie Lingard made it even tougher for Martial to break into the starting line-up. The 26-year-old has started only two games in the Premier League this season. The Frenchman’s agent recently said that Martial is seeking a move away from Old Trafford in January 2022.

Anthony Martial set to leave Ralf Ragnick’s side without an offer on the Table

The Former Monaco Striker’s stay at Manchester United had it’s own up and highs. Martial won Several trophies with United which includes the FA Cup, (EFL) Carabao Cup and the Community Shield. However, he was only able to witness the Red Devils falling short of winning the Premier League, which they last won in 2012/13. Ralf Ragnick revealed that no other clubs have come up with a Formal bid or Enquiry for Martial at the moment.

Martial held a meeting with Rangnick last week alongside his Agent Phillippe Lamboley. He has reportedly emphasized his desire to leave the club.

“We spoke yesterday at length and he explained to me that he has been with Manchester United now for the last seven years. And he feels that it might be the right time now for a change, to go somewhere else.”

said Ralf Ragnick during a Press Conference

“I know this is in a way understandable and I could follow his thoughts but on the other hand it’s also important to see the situation of the club. We have COVID times, we have three competitions in which we still have high ambitions and want to be as successful as we can be.”

he added

“And I told him, a move should not only be in the interest of the player, it should also be in the interest of the club. So far as far as I know, there has been no offer from any other club. And as long as this is the case, he will stay.”
