Raphinha to be out of Pre-Season training for Leeds

Leeds United winger Raphinha has reportedly refused to turn up for Pre-season training with the English club. The winger’s future is under great scrutiny as a potential move to European Heavyweights Chelsea or Barcelona is on the cards. The 25-year-old has already agreed on personal terms with Barca but Leeds United have reportedly accepted Chelsea’s bid of €60 million. But the winger is adamant about joining the Spanish giants only.

Raphinha had a very productive last season in the Premier League as he helped Leeds to avoid relegation on the last matchdays. The Brazilian has been a sensation for the English side and had already attracted big clubs but Leeds were not budging. In case they were relegated, Leeds would have lost Raphinha to €25 million. But avoiding Relegation increased his market value and demand.

Chelsea were always looking to be his next destination until Barca came out of nowhere and Good contacts with his agent Deco made Raphinha more inclined towards a move to Camp Nou. It was only a matter of time as Barca activated their economic levers and spend big in the market. And now it is reported that Barca have matched Chelsea’s offer for Raphinha but in installments. It is now on Leeds if they want to accept the Barca offer not.

Raphinha Not Likely To Play For Leeds Again

With so much going on in the transfer, it is quite disrespectful on Raphinha’s end to not turn up for training. Leeds are the club that gave him such prominence and always considered him one of his own but him missing training was quite a shock to Leeds’s fans. The relationship between the club and the player is not at the best stage now and it is almost confirmed that he won’t play for Leeds again. It just remains to be seen where the Brazilian prodigy ends up going.
