Rashford hopeful for redeeming himself this season

Manchester United have been known for having quality players play for them throughout their history. One of the known and a successful player at United was Ruud Van Nistelrooy. 18 years back in 2006, Ruud left United to join Real Madrid. Fast forward to present, the striker is back at Carrington but as a coach.

Fans of Manchester United all around the globe are excited about this appointment. Ruud rejected the opportunity of managing Burnley to become a backhand coach for Eric Ten Hag. Fans are excited the impact this appointment is going to bring on the team. Furthermore, a comment from a Liverpool player makes this appointment even more interesting.

Current Liverpool player and Dutchman Cody Gakpo used to play for PSV before joining the Reds. At PSV, Gakpo worked under the guidance of Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Gakpo recently shared his views on the former united player in an article for the times.

“When with Ruud, we used to practice running patterns. He would tell us about his time at Manchester United with Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. They all used to know what run they are going to make. There was one message, and it was clear- to work, you need to interact, communicate properly if you want to operate as a unit. “

This highlights the kind of approach and the tactics Ruud win bring to the Carrington. Furthermore, one player that will benefit from this is Marcus Rashford. Running behind the defensive line and making space for him is something the Englishman strives in.

Marcus Rashford hopeful for his next season?

Marcus Rashford has been a born and bred Marc but recently there have been numerous rumors regarding his future at Manchester united. Rashford had a very disappointing 23/24 season, just a year after having a 41G/A season.

The fanbase is divided on the player’s ability and potential. Marcus Rashford has spent all of his career at Manchester United only and have seen multiple ups and downs. He went through many difficult times on and off the field but always managed to get through them and get back to his best.

On his best day, Rashford is a very threatening player who can attack from the left side or the central side. His overlap game with Luke Shaw for Manchester United was something very exceptional. Last season, Shaw was mostly injured and there were many different options tried on that left-back position.

Last season he did not even cross the 10-goal margin and ended the season with only 8 goals and 5 assists. Furthermore, he was on the receiving end of a lot of hate and criticism on the social media. After the season got over, Marcus Rashford announced on his twitter that he would be taking a break from the social media for his mental wellbeing.

The fanbase would be divided on the player where some wants to sell him, and some wants his to stay. Next season will be make or break season for Marcus at Manchester United. Will he get back to his best or is the time over for him at Old Trafford?

Rudd Van Nistelrooy is a ray of hope for United fans?

Good news for him and United is the appointment of Ruud as the attacking coach. United have lacked severely in the attacking department in the past few seasons. In the last two seasons they only scored 58(22/230 and 57(23/24) goals. Those numbers are nowhere near to what a top-quality team should be producing.

Main reason for such a lackluster attacking output even after having good players is the lack of chemistry between the players. There has been a lack of coordination between the attackers and many chances were fumbled with poor attacking chances and the lack of game sense.

Hopefully, Ruud can change that thing for them and help them play like a team. With an already good attacking option, plus a soon to be confirmed signing of Zirzkee, hopes are high from Rudd to transform the team with his experience and caliber.
