Real Madrid has been eyeing Richarlison for quite a number of seasons. The Brazillian was signed by Tottenham for 60 million pounds from Everton last summer. Ever since Ancelotti’s move from Everton, Madrid has shown a keen interest in the player. The Brazillian scored 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 appearances which is not significantly good for a forward. But Richarlison’s 2 goals at the World Cup against Serbia rekindled Real Madrid’s interest.
Karim Benzema who has already won the Ballon D’or this year has been suffering from injuries this season making him absent in most of the matches. It’s almost clear that Benzema is reaching his end of his career and Madrid will be desperate to find a proper replacement for him. Richarlison fits into the description but his move to Real might not be that easy.
Richarlison’s recent transfer talks with Real Madrid
After missing out on Mbappe this year, Real Madrid is desperate to sign a proper forward, that being Richarlison. But his current club Tottenham is demanding a transfer fee of 100 to 120 million euros which is quite a huge amount for the Brazillian. Still, Real Madrid will have no problems in paying that amount as they are aiming to get the Brazillian in their squad.
Spurs will not want to release Richarlison who they signed in this year’s summer only. His match-winning performance against Serbia will raise the striker’s base price even more and Tottenham might earn a good amount if they do release him next summer.
Even though the chances of signing Richarlison look bleaker, Real Madrid might look for other options like Cody Gakpo who has already scored 3 goals in 3 World Cup games.
Richarlison has still a bright future ahead. The 25-year-old Brazillian is going to face Cameroon in their last group-stage game and will surely like to be the contender for the Golden Boot.
