Defending La Liga and European champions Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Ligue 1 midfielder Lovro Majer. The French outlet Media foot reported a few days ago that one of the top targets of Los Blancos is the Croatian midfielder this summer. Real Madrid are ready to pay €60M for the 24-year-old midfielder.
Real Madrid interested in Lovro Majer
This summer Real Madrid are thinking to reinforce their midfield. Some of Real Madrid players contracts will expire at the end of the season. Dani Ceballos is one of them. However, he’s still waiting for the renewal but it seems unlikely that he will get an extension. So, the Merengues need a replacement for Ceballos, and Lovro Majer is the perfect replacement for the Spanish midfielder.
Modric and Kroos are in the twilight of their career. Therefore, Real Madrid needs their replacement. Nevertheless, they have other names also to replace these two stars but if they fail to secure the Bellingham deal then they need some reliable player who can replace Ceballos in the squad.
Croatian midfielder as Ceballos’s replacement
Lovro Majer started his professional football career with Dinamo Zagreb. And last year French club Stade Rennais signed him. He has solidified his position in the starting line-up for the Stade Rennais. He scored 19 goals and provided 25 assists in 100 appearances with the French club. His performance at the FIFA World Cup impressed everyone including Real Madrid.
Well, Real Madrid’s top priority is still Jude Bellingham but they also kept Lovro Majer on their Radar. According to the report, Real Madrid has already submitted their bid to Rennais but Atletico de Madrid too wants to hire him.
Only time will say in between the two Spanish club fight, who will score a victory.
