Real Madrid is still the Favorites to sign Antonio Rudiger next Summer. The Los Blancos have reportedly taken the next step to sign the German Centre-back. Reports are suggesting that the Chelsea Defender will choose Real Madrid over any other club during the summer of 2022. Rudiger is all set to become a Free agent next summer and there is no agreement between him and Chelsea over a new contract.
According to reports, Antonio Rudiger is edging closer towards a move to the La Liga Giants. Real Madrid wants to bring him to the club next summer to strengthen their Defensive ranks. They are currently in sensational form as they sit on top of the La Liga points table. They have a good mix of Youth and Experience in their Squad, who are currently in a Good shape under Carlo Ancelotti.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid lost their Defensive duo of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane for free during the summer of 2021. Ramos and Varane in the Real Madrid defence brought a lot of silverware at Santiago Bernabeau.
The Pairing helped Madrid to win 3 consecutive UEFA Champions League trophies in a row, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. In total the duo won 3 La Liga Trophies, 4 UCL Titles, 4 FIFA Club World Cups, 3 Super Cups, 2 Copa Del Reys and 4 Spanish Super Cups. Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger also won the UCL earlier this May with Chelsea.
Can Real Madrid sign Antonio Rudiger amid interests from top European Clubs
According to the Independent, Rudiger’s Brother/Agent, Sahr Senesie sat down with the representatives of Real Madrid. Meetings between the two sides proved to be Fruitful and rumours have indicated that an ‘informal agreement’ for the German has been reached.
Reports have also suggested that Premier Clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the race for the 28-year-old. However, a move to the 13-times UEFA Champions League winners seems more likely for Antonio Rudiger.
Paris Saint-Germain is also closely monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old. The Ligue 1 giants are believed to be determined to sign him on a free transfer. According to Christian Falk, Real Madrid are the favourites to land Rudiger next summer. Falk has claimed that he will choose to move to Bernabeu over any other club.
Falk also claims that Real Madrid is ‘negotiating’ for the 28-year-old. However, the Centre-back is yet to make a firm decision on his future. Rudiger has been a vital player for Thomas Tuchel’s side during the 2021-22 season. He has scored twice and provided four assists by making 21 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
