Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has addressed the question of wanting his former Everton player Richarlison at the club this summer. Madrid have been rumoured about adding a new forward this summer and the most likely name is Kylian Mbappe. However, Richarlison has also been linked with Real Madrid since former toffee boss Ancelotti returned to Madrid for his second spell.

Richarlison had been a showrunner at the upfront for Everton under Carlo Ancelotti last season. The Brazilian forward appeared 34 times while scoring 7 goals in all competitions for the toffees last season. While, apart from scoring goals, it was his behind runs and playmaking from the left-wing which made him Ancelotti’s favourite.

So, as Ancelotti left Goodison park and joined Real Madrid this summer many linked up Richarlison to follow his boss. However, despite all rumours, Madrid have not made any single inquiry about signing Richarlison from Everton. While asking the same question to Ancelotti, he replied “I have affection for him. He is a great player.  But I am not talking about the players who are in other clubs.”

Following these lines, it seems Ancelotti has no interest in bringing his former forward to Spain. While Richarlison is happy staying at Everton after winning the Olympic medal with Brazil. The forward also opened his scoring in toffees opening match in the Premier League against Southampton.

The Real Madrid boss is also happy with his current front line of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale. The trio showed an impressive performance on Saturday against Deportivo Alaves in the league opener. However, the Italian will be hoping for more improvement from the front three in the upcoming matches.
