Real Madrid are considering a move for Spanish player who is on radar of Arsenal. The player also has his personal conditions which is making the path of North London very hard.
The star in question is Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The 25 year old has been a long term target for Arsenal. He was their top target in summer but was unwilling to leave Spain. This resulted in Gunners signing his teammate Mikel Merino.
Zubimendi is still on the radar of Gunners. The North London club are set to loose Thomas Partey and Jorginho for free at the end of the season. The Spaniard could have been a perfect replacement for the Arsenal stars.
However, the 25 year old is still unwilling to move away from Spain. This is making it very hard for Arsenal along with some other Premier League clubs to agree a deal with Sociedad. Now, there is increase in competition as the European Champions have joined the race.
Real Madrid join the race to sign Martin Zubimendi
According to Diario AS, Madrid are showing interest in Martin Zubimendi. The Spanish giants want to sign a young player with right passing profile and right price. Zubimendi fits their bill perfectly and his experience in La Liga makes him key target.
Madrid have been linked with many midfielders recently. They are said to part ways with Tchouameni as the French star has failed to impress. This will force them to find a proper replacement as Luka Modric is also set to leave at the end of the season.
Zubimendi can agree a move to Madrid as he prefers to stay at Spain. He has played his whole career in Spain which will also benefit Madrid. However, this will come as a big blow for Gunners who will now have to monitor other players.
