Chelsea have developed a new system of signing very young players and developing them into world class stars. They rate this strategy very highly and hence always keep open eye on young talents.
The Blues have now linked with young keeper who is evolving to be a future superstar. Chelsea have face issues regarding goalkeeping in recent years. Hence, they are keen to find a long-term solution.
Chelsea plotting a move for Fran Gonzalez
As per Relevo, the Blues have set their sights on Real Madrid gem Fran Gonzalez. Gonzalez is 19 years old keeper who plays for Real Madrid Castilla at the moment. He has played 9 matches this season.
Gonzalez is yet to make his debut for the Madrid’s first team. But he has made their squad on multiple occasions. He was part of squad last season when Madrid were crowned as Champions of Europe.
Chelsea have already signed two young keepers this season. But their main keeper Robert Sanchez has struggled so far and looks to exit the club next year. This may open up space for another keeper.
The Blues are reported to sign an experienced keeper. But, they still like to add more depth to the squad by signing Gonzalez. There are no concrete reports as of yet but one thing which is sure is that Madrid will make it very hard for Chelsea to sign the 19 year old.
Los Blancos view Gonzalez as the face of their future. They will like him to replace Lunin who is set to replace Courtois who will turn 33 at the end of this season. Hence, they will make it hard for any interested club to sign Gonzalez.
