Real Madrid is already looking for exciting prospects to replace Ancelotti. Carlo Ancelotti recently said he would retire from his managerial career after his contract runs down in Madrid. The coach said he is happy in Madrid. Therefore, it would only make sense to retire after leaving Los Blancos.

According to a Spanish outlet Defensa Central report, Real Madrid is interested in bringing Ruud Van Nistelrooy to lead the team. Los Blancos are closing following his development in PSV Eindhoven.

The Dutch player was one of the best strikers of his generation. He played for PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, and Real Madrid in his illustrious career. In his short managerial career, he has coached as an assistant head coach for the Netherlands national team,  the PSV Eindhoven under-19. The 46-year-old is currently serving as the PSV Eindhoven senior team manager. It is also his first experience managing senior football. PSV are unbeaten in six matches under him while putting up impressive performances.  The reigning La Liga and Champions League champions would surely keep an eye on his development.

According to the same report, Real Madrid has a list of potential managers to replace Ancelotti. The list includes several former club legends, including Alvaro Arbeloa, Raul Gonzalez, Xabi Alonso, and Guti. Xabi Alonso would be a substantial post contender as he currently manages Real Madrid’s B team.

Real Madrid fans would undoubtedly be excited about the future. Any possible candidate for the post would be no foreigner to the club’s glorious history. The squad is ready for the new period ahead with a mix of young talents and experienced players.
