Real Madrid is interested in Gabri Veiga as a replacement for Bellingham

It is no secret that Real Madrid is interested in landing Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham before the summer transfer window closes and Gabri Veiga adds in.

The 19-year-old is a primary target for Los Blancos ahead of next season. As they attempt to replace the ageing duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

The addition of the England international, on the other hand, would provide a significant challenge for the Spanish capital club. Not only will they have to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City, but they will also have to fulfil Dortmund’s massive €150 million value.

According to reports, Los Merengues do not want to spend such a large price to sign Bellingham. While they are not fully ruling out a move for him.

In the middle of this, it appears that Real Madrid are considering replacements for the former Birmingham City ace, and according to SER Deportivos, Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga has surfaced as one of Carlo Ancelotti’s choices.

On Gabri Veiga

Veiga, who is only 20 years old, has emerged as one of La Liga’s breakout talents this season. In 22 appearances for the club, the young Spaniard has scored eight goals and provided three assists.

Veiga is under contract with Celta until the summer of 2026, with a €40 million release clause included.

If Real Madrid decides to pursue Veiga, they will not pay the whole price, but will explore negotiating a smaller figure with the probable inclusion of a player in the transaction.

But, they will face competition from Atletico Madrid, who are also said to be interested in the 20-year-old Spanish prodigy.

Bellingham is still Plan A for the reigning Spanish and European champions. But, his high asking price may push them to consider alternative targets, with Veiga emerging as a viable option.

If Los Blancos do not sign Bellingham, they may opt to spend big on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to boost their frontline.
