About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

The title race for La Liga is down to the last two games, as both the top two teams Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid won their last matches.

Real Madrid after a disappointing 2-2 draw against Sevilla on Monday, needed a win against Granada on Friday to challenge Atletico for the League title.

Los Blancos have done what they were expected to do as they pulled a dominant 4-1 win against Granada, with this win they earned their important three points to stay in the title race.

Despite missing several first-team regulars, Real started stronger as Luka Modric opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a shot that went through the goalkeeper’s leg after a nice lob pass by youngster Miguel Gutiérrez. Rodrygo added to the lead with his first goal of the league in the first-half injury time.

Granada pulled one through Jorge Molina, off the rebound of a Courtois save in the 71st. But Madrid quickly added 2 goals in quick succession to seal the victory with goals by Alvaro Odriozola in the 75th and Karim Benzema in the 76th.

With this win, Real Madrid is second with 78 points just 2 points behind table leaders Atletico Madrid who have 80.

La Liga Title Race Down to Two Games

With Real Madrid winning against Granada it is clear that Atletico will not be able to put their hands on the League trophy on Sunday. This means La Liga will go down to its last two matchdays to declare their Champions this season.

After finishing their matchday 36 with wins, both the top teams will be going with confidence and nervousness in their second-last matchday.

Atletico Madrid is hosting Osasuna at home on Sunday after their 2-1 victory against Real Sociedad. They will be looking for a win at home to earn those important three points and put their foot stronger in the ground to win the league.

Real Madrid will be facing Athletic Bilbao away from home on Sunday after a dominant 4-1 victory against Granada. But they may have a hard time against Bilbao as they are missing several first-team players.

It will be an interesting matchday for the La Liga fans and we are eager to see the result. It may decide who among the top two teams will get their hands on the league trophy this season.
