The Real Madrid team needs to sign new players. It’s no secret that this is the case. The team only has one good option in several positions across the pitch. An injury-prone side like this is not hard to understand why that would be an issue. After an impressive start to the season, Los Blancos have fallen flat.
Adding a striker to the club is one such need. In addition to Karim Benzema’s qualities, it’s also a fact that he has had injuries in recent years. He has spent significant time away from the field.
Mariano Diaz, however, hardly appears in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans and has barely featured. As a free agent, he is expected to leave the team in the summer as well.
Real Madrid to consider signing Serbian forward
The ESPN website reports that Real Madrid is considering signing Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic to bolster their attack. Adding to their forward line in the summer is a priority for Los Blancos. In the year since joining Juventus, Vlahovic has done quite well. However, it seems like it might not be the best place for him to flourish.
Allegri’s team plays defense-first football on one hand. However, Juventus recently lost 15 points. This means they have little to no possibility to be able to qualify for next year’s Champions League.
Even though he might not be Juventus’ ideal fit, Vlahovic has been a decent performer since his €75 million move from Fiorentina. Transfermarkt statistics show his 18 goals and 5 assists for the Italian giants in 40 appearances.
Now, whether Real Madrid will prefer bringing in the prolific forward or they have some other plans remains to be seen. They should look for a replacement for Karim Benzema as soon as possible.
