Isco to finally move on from Real Madrid? Arsenal and Everton interested

Isco looks dejected

Real Madrid versatile midfielder Isco is ready to leave the club in January, according to reports. He appears to have lost the confidence of coach Zinedine Zidane, starting just three La Liga games so far this season.

Isco, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, is tied down at Los Blancos until 2022 but is determined to challenge himself in another league.

In a desire to rediscover a protagonist role, and to once again form as a member of Luis Enrique’s Spain squad, Isco has decided now is the right time to listen to offers. Isco’s father, and agent, has communicated his desire to the club and the club is said to be open to listening to offers.

Real Madrid midfielder Isco to leave in January?

His father and agent Paco Alarcon told radio show El Larguero:

“Right now, we have no offers.

But Isco wants to try another league.”

He then insisted that Isco would be willing to wait until next summer in order to force through a move.

Paco added:

“Staying in Madrid would not be a problem.”

Isco has made 314 appearances for Real Madrid but he hasn’t made even 20 starts in LaLiga since the 2017-18 campaign. Since joining Real from Malaga in 2013, he has scored 51 goals in 313 games, winning 16 trophies.

CLUBS INTERESTED IN REAL MADRID STAR ISCO:

Arsenal

As per his quotes to El Larguero in the tweet above, Isco does not currently have any offers, but it seems clear he’s looking for a new challenge.

That could be good news for Arsenal if he’s tempted to try his luck in England, with Mikel Arteta surely in dire need of a replacement for the out-of-favour Mesut Ozil.

Isco could provide a similar spark in Arsenal’s midfield if he can get back to his best at the Emirates Stadium.

Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is keeping his cards close to his chest over reported interest.

“Isco is a rumour from the press, from the media. It’s not a rumour that went out from our side,”

Inter Milan

Reports came in last week that Inter Milan could try to sign the 28-year-old Spanish playmaker to replace Hakan Calhanoglu, and that his valuation has dropped to a figure of around €40m.

Real Madrid have held talks with Inter Milan over a potential swap deal involving Isco and Christian Eriksen.

It would seemingly take a large sum of cash to get the deal done though, as Real value Isco at €60m+ and Eriksen at €30m or less for the time being.
