Real Madrid plotting January move for Chelsea sensation

Real Madrid are in desperate need to sign some defensive players in the upcoming months. They are expected to spend some money in the January transfer window. Los Blancos want to improve their defence and sign a centre back along with a full back. Chelsea are now on alert as one of their young superstar Josh Acheampong is on the shortlist of Madrid for January window.

Madrid are monitoring at a lot of English players currently. They signed Jude Bellingham last year who won the Champions League and La Liga in his first year at Spain. After that, Madrid turned their attention on English full backs.

Firstly, Los Blancos viewed Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold as the potential replacement to Dani Carvajal. But, later James feel down the priority list due to his injury concerns. The Liverpool ace is still the top priority of Spanish side and we may see a bid coming from Madrid soon next year.

Madrid planning to make a move for Acheampong this January

According to The Independant, Real Madrid are viewing Josh Acheampong as their next right back. They are planning to make a move for Chelsea sensation in January. It maybe due to the recent injury faced by Dani Carvajal which will keep him out until the end of the season.

Acheampong is only 18 years old and has played 2 matches so far for the Chelsea senior team. Madrid view him as a long term replacement for Carvajal who will be 33 years old in January. The Chelsea youngster is also monitored by Liverpool who may lose Arnold next summer.

The Blues are not interested to sell Acheampong but may be forced to do so if any suitable offer arrives. There has not been any concrete news and we can witness more about the deal with time. It will also depend if Madrid view him as a temporary solution or as a permanent solution.
