Real Madrid president Perez desperate to look for Ancelotti replacement

What prevented

It is no secret that Real Madrid has high expectations, and any season without major silverware is already a failure. Despite a promising start to the campaign, Los Blancos have struggled with inconsistency, especially in La Liga. They have lost more games than they won. This has led to speculation about Ancelotti’s future at the club. Several reports suggesting that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is considering a change in management at the end of the season.

It is common for the media to speculate about potential successors to a manager who is facing pressure or speculation about their future. However, it is often difficult to determine the authenticity of these claims, as they are often based on rumors and speculation rather than concrete information.

Coaches Real Madrid might go for

It remains to check whether Nagelsmann would show interest in taking over at Real Madrid. His track record at RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich certainly makes him an attractive option for the club’s hierarchy. However, it is important to note that Real Madrid’s board have traditionally favored coaches with strong ties to the club. These include Raul Gonzalez or Zinedine Zidane. Other candidates being considered reportedly include Joachim Low, Massimiliano Allegri, and Mauricio Pochettino.

Xabi Alonso is another name being considered as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti. The former Real Madrid midfielder lacks experience at the highest level of management. But his current stint at Bayer Leverkusen has shown his tactical acumen and ability to succeed at a top club.

Within the club, there have been discussions about Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane as potential candidates. They are both currently available. However, there are some doubts over Pochettino’s suitability, given his disappointing time at PSG, while it is uncertain whether Zidane would be willing to return for a third stint at the club.
