Real Madrid injury news

When Real Madrid hosts Girona at the Bernabeu on Sunday afternoon, they will aim to win their fifth straight La Liga game.

After defeating Sevilla 3-1 in La Liga on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti’s team moved six points ahead of Barcelona in second place. But the margin has since shrunk to three points in the upcoming game round into the forthcoming round of matches.

Los Blancos has already advanced to the round of 16 in the Champions League. But last Tuesday, they fell to RB Leipzig 3-2 in the tournament, their first loss of the year.

Real Madrid’s archives heel this season has been the number of injuries the players have suffered. Since the start of the season, the club has lacked the presence of at least one first-team player.

Luka Modric and Fede Valverde are back on the squad list. The two midfielders missed Madrid’s recent match against Leipzig due to minor physical issues.

Conversely, Karim Benzema, battling muscle exhaustion, won’t be playing for Los Blancos. Karim Benzema must recover quickly for Wednesday Madrid’s Champions League match against Celtic. The 2022 Balon d’Or winner has missed the previous two games against Sevilla and RB Leipzig due to chronic “muscle tiredness.” Benzema has six goals and one assist in 11 games this season.

Real Madrid needs to win the game to return to the top of the league table. They are currently second after Barcelona beat Valencia yesterday.
