Real Madrid star wants to captain the historic club in the future

Up to six Real Madrid

Real Madrid has a gem of a player in Valverde. Time and again, Valverde has shown his passion for the club. After the first half of the Madrid derby, Fede Valverde brilliantly epitomized the pure sense of playing for the Los Blancos. It was a metaphor for how Valverde plays in royal white by literally spilling his blood, sweat, and tears on the field.

While Valverde’s progression at Real Madrid from prospect to superstar has been consistent, his increase in significance from last season to the current season shows just how much he has grown as a player. Although he may have started out as a central midfielder, he has now learned to not only perform well on the right flank but also excel there to a level that places him among the league’s top players.

Real Madrid midfielder wants to be the captain of the club

The purest form of devotion displayed by the player has not gone unnoticed. Real Madrid loyals already believe the player would, at some point in the near future, captain the club. Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Nacho are the captains of Real Madrid and are nearing the end of their playing days. Unsurprisingly Fede Valverde wants the same. Valverde wants to lead Real Madrid, according to the Spanish daily Diario AS (via Madrid Xtra).

Real Madrid coach Ancelotti shares the same idea. After the win against Real Mallorca, the Italian said to the press.

“He is a leader, and Federico is very, very important to us.”

“He’s doing very well, he’s very humble, and this can help him to be a leader in the future.”

Valverde is one of the most important players for the club at the moment. And if he continues to shine, it is only a short time before he captains the club.
