Real Madrid are interested in activating Reguilon buy-back clause. Reguilon joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window of 2020 and since his signing, he has gone on to make 19 appearances for Spurs where he has notched 5 assists in all competitions he has played in.
The 24-year-old Spanish left-back is starting to make regular appearances with the club. Jose Mourinho insists he will have a very important role to play for Tottenham.
However, Real Madrid had inserted a €45 million buy-back clause and they are looking to activate it soon.
Will Reguilon be heading back to Real Madrid?
According to GIVEMESPORT Real Madrid are reportedly keen on activating his buy-back clause and they would want to bring him back to the Bernabeu as soon as possible.
Madrid who are currently 2nd in La Liga want to bring Reguilon back as they look to address the left-back issue which they are currently facing.
Marcelo is struggling to perform at the left-back position and Mendy is falling down the pecking order as he isn’t a favorite to start in the left-back position under Zidane.
Therefore they have kept several players on their radar and one of them is Reguilon, the Spanish player had made 22 appearances for Madrid in 2018 and in those matches, he grabbed 2 assists.
His versatility and movements on the left flank will help Madrid in solving their left-back issue and the potential of him linking up with Hazard can pose a major threat to the opponents’ defence hence they will be eager to land the Spurs player.
However, a transfer will be hard to pull off as Tottenham are adamant on selling him as he has a huge role to play for the club hence a move can be determined only when Madrid triggers his release clause and opens talks with Tottenham.
