About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid are willing to table an offer for the Inter Milan center-back Milan Skriniar. Los Blancos are linked with the Slovakian star from May, but they are yet to officially approach Inter Milan’s camp. But now it seems Madrid are ready to offer some cash to secure the services of Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar started his football career in 2012 at the academy of MSK Zilina in Slovakia. Following his performances for Zilina, he was signed by the Italian side Sampdoria in 2017. The defender went on to make a solid impression at the back for Sampdoria, tempting Inter Milan to sign him eighteen months later. And since his addition to the Nerazzurri squad, he has developed to be the most reliable center-back in Serie A.

The 26-year-old has appeared 167 times for Inter Milan in his five years’ stay while netting 7 goals in all competitions. But, it’s his last season’s performance that has made him a hot target this summer. Skriniar was a permanent face in the backline for Antonio Conte last season, which led to Inter Milan lifting the Serie A title after 11 years.

The center-back has still two years left in his contract with Inter Milan. But the club desires to sell him this summer due to poor financial condition. It is reported that Inter Milan will want a minimum of €50 million in order to let go of their defender. As Skriniar was available for transfer, teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Barcelona wanted to sign him. But currently, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are battling for the center-back.

Real Madrid are desperate to sign Milan Skriniar this summer

Real Madrid is in desperate need of defensive reinforcement this summer following the issues of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane. The former Madrid captain left the club this summer after failing to renew his contract in time. While Varane has only one year left in his contract and is seeking a new challenge next season with a transfer link to Manchester United.

Carlo Ancelotti has already got David Alba on a free transfer this summer who would be a replacement for Ramos. But bringing in another center-back is important if Varane actually leaves this summer. Following this issue, Madrid have listed Milan Skriniar, Pau Torres, and, Wesley Fofana as the viable options for a transfer.

And currently as per the latest reports it seems Milan Skriniar is considered as the first choice by Ancelotti. However, Madrid is yet to table an offer for the center-back, as they are waiting for deciding Varane’s future. But the Whites have to hurry as Tottenham are also in the line for signing Skrinar. So, let’s wait and see what Real Madrid decides regarding the signing of Milan Skriniar this summer.
