Real Madrid wants to re-sign former Castilla player Fran Garcia this summer

Real Madrid wants to re-sign their former Real Madrid Castilla left-back Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano this summer transfer. The former Castilla defender appeared only one time with the Real Madrid first team in Copa del Rey, where he even recorded an assist.

Notwithstanding, Real Madrid sold him to Rayo Vallecano on a permanent transfer in 2020 summer by securing 50% of his rights. Last season the Spaniard was considered as the best left-back in La Liga. However, this season he is little more than the best. His performance against Real Madrid forced the Los Blancos to rethink about him.

Merengues want to re-sign Real Madrid Castilla left-back Fran Garcia

In 2021/22 Garcia had a fantastic season and wanted a call from Real Madrid, but unfortunately he neither got a call in the winter transfer nor in the summer transfer. This season Real Madrid has lost only one game in La Liga and that too against Rayo Vallecano. Fran was the Key player in that game and even provided an early assist to lead the game.

Fran vs Miguel Gutiérrez

Now, Spanish outlet Marca has reported that Real Madrid is considering a move for Fran Garcia but their one more former player Miguel Gutiérrez is also on the radar.
Marca also claimed that Real Madrid are still keeping tabs on Miguel but García is ahead in the race to return to Santiago Bernabéu.
Ancelotti wants and prefers Garcia more, especially in the squad for the next season. The club thinks he’s cheaper and a deal with him would be less complicated.

Rayo Vallecano tried to renew Fran García’s contract and change his €10M release clause, but they never reached an agreement. Real Madrid can still sign him for €5M.

Several clubs in Europe want to hire Fran Garcia but his decision is firm, to return to only Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid’s first choice of left-back future is uncertain. That’s why the club wants to secure this deal.
