Real Madrid’s President clarifies that signing Kylian Mbappe is not sensible

Real Madrid was linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe this summer from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. The French superstar’s contract was due to expire at the end of last season. However, the Frenchman extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain for another two years. Real Madrid was very confident of signing Kylian Mbappe until the player announced his contract extension.

The French forward wanted to stay on at the French club to play alongside Lionel Messi for another season. The club offered him a huge bonus and other responsibilities in addition to his weekly wages to lure him into staying at Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the player has been again linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain only months after renewing his contract. The French forward has reportedly fallen out with key player Neymar Jr. Manager Christophe Galtier and Sporting Director, Luis Campos have also been rumored to be on the way out.

Kylian Mbappe’s situation is a real challenge for Paris Saint-Germain

Although no concrete news has come out of the French club’s official channels, speculation is rife about the departure. Amidst these stories, Real Madrid has been linked with a transfer for the player again in the January transfer window.

The Real Madrid President was asked for his views on the rumors recently and the President said:

“I’m not even paying attention to the rumors. We had a good summer of rumors and gossip and all of that is pointless now. Signing him makes no sense for us now, our attackers are developing in a great way. Vinicius and Rodrygo are two formidable players.”

Florentino Perez further said:

“I see them both as potential Ballon D’Or winners, we have to see how they keep developing. We’re only focusing on the players we have now and we’re doing just fine. Camavinga, Valverde, Militao, and Tchoauemeni are young and have a promising future ahead of them.”

From the statement, it seems clear that the club is in no mood to buy the Frenchman after missing out on him during the summer. Nonetheless, it will be important for Real Madrid to perform well this season to achieve their goals!!
