On Monday announced that defender Jordan Elsey is set to miss a few months. So After sustaining a knee injury in the Durand Cup 2023 final . Elsey, who joined and played for the club in the summer transfer window. It was a key player for finalists East Bengal FC in the recently-concluded Durand Cup 2023. The Australian made his full debut for East Bengal FC against Mohun Bagan Super Giant and put up a solid performance as his side registered their first Kolkata Derby victory in four years. He featured in five games for the Red & Golds during the tournament and also netted his first goal for the club.

With the hurt of losing the Durand Cup final. Kolkata giants East Bengal FC are eyeing a move to secure and services of Jordan Elsey ahead for 2023-24 season. The club confirms that Jordan Elsey has unfortunately suffered a knee injury in yesterday’s Durand Cup final that will keep him out of action for the next few months. We will continue to support Jordan through this difficult phase and wish him a speedy recovery.
