Robert Lewandowski confirmed the reports of meeting Real Madrid president Florentino Perez

Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that he had held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. The forward was in the golden boot award ceremony as he lifted it after scoring 41 goals in 29 Bundesliga matches last season. And in that ceremony, during an interview, he was asked if he had mate Florentino Perez or not. And confirming that he said he has met him a couple of times.

Lewandowski currently playing for Bayern Munich has emerged as a prolific striker in recent years. While his goal-scoring form is more than commendable, as he broke Gerard Muller’s highest goal in one Bundesliga season. The Poland star scored a record 41 goals last season at Bundesliga and was the Bayern Munich’s player of the year. While he has been carrying his form this season scoring 11 goals in 7 outings.

Following his top form, many clubs approached Bayern Munich for signing their star striker Robert Lewandowski. But Bayern were not ready to let go of their superstar. In that list of clubs, there was Real Madrid who were interested in signing Robert Lewandowski. However, the reports of Real Madrid and Florentino Perez approaching Robert Lewandowski couldn’t be confirmed at that time.

But, Robert Lewandowski recently confirmed the news of meeting Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in the Golden boot ceremony. The forward said, “Of course, Florentino Pérez and I saw each other on a few occasions, one of which was after a game against Real Madrid. I can’t tell you what happened during this conversation,”. While Lewandowski also addressed the situation of leaving Bayern Munich in near future and replaying that he said he is happy playing at Bayern and is not considering leaving anytime soon.
