Robert Lewandowski warns on joining Bayern

Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski went too far stating that players will never want to join the 6-time European Champions. Complications regarding his contract at the club have been a major issue lately.

Robert Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern Munich

The Polish forward expressed his intentions of leaving the club at the end of the 2021-22 season after clinching the Bundesliga title for the 9th time in his career.

He has strictly insisted on leaving the club for Spanish giants Barcelona in order to experience a new challenge. However, Bayern’s bosses are unhappy with the 33-year-old because his contract ends in 2023.

This is a setback for Lewandowski’s plan because the club has all the right to not let him go until his contract is over.

Lewandowski & Bayern’s story

After serving the club for 8 years, the striker registered a humungous record of netting 344 goals in 375 appearances in all competitions. In his last season alone he sent the ball 50 times to the back of the net in just 46 games.

The player broke Gerd Muller’s 49-years record of most goals scored by an individual in a season. Another record was scoring 5 times in 9 minutes against Wolfsburg despite trailing 1-0 at halftime.

Despite the negative talk he’s been giving the press, the player also peeked into the positives.

“During so many years at the club I was always ready, available, despite injuries and the pain, I gave my best. I think the best thing to do is to find a good solution for both sides and not to look for a one-sided decision.”

Lewandowski according to Onet Sport.

“I’m not looking for a unilateral solution, that makes no sense, not after so much time, after such a successful era, and with my will and support,”

he added.

Sadly, the Champions League winner has claimed that Bayern hasn’t respected him lately and isn’t being loyal. When asked about his future, though, the striker gave an update and didn’t mince his words.

Robert Lewandowski alerts players on joining Bayern Munich

The news came as a shock to Bayern fans and millions across the world; to see a club legend disrespect his badge.

In a statement with Sport Onet, the Poland striker said,

“What kind of player will want to go to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to them?”

Lewandowski questioned the club on how they intend to sign new players after what they have done to him and the loyalty they promised. He stated that something died in him and it would be impossible to fix that.

Bayern Munich interested in Sadio Mane

Bayern Munich is offering Sadio Mane wages over £20 million gross per year as well as personal agreements that should convince the player.

Mane is quite attracted to Bayern’s offer. He feels that he will get the appreciation he lacks at Anfield. Although PSG and Real Madrid have offered more money than Bayern, the Bavarian bosses are very confident they will be able to close a deal.

From Mane’s point of view, he would be the top star in Munich, while in Paris or Madrid his name would wander in the shadows of many.

Liverpool would be willing to negotiate to start from £35 million. Mane hasn’t bid goodbye to his teammates yet, but he’s uncertain about his stay next year.

Should Mane sign for Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich, founded in 1900 has 31 Bundesliga shields, 20 DFB-Pokal trophies, 1 Europa Cup, 2 Super Cups, and 6 Champions League titles to its name. Robert Lewandowski has only been a part of the 122-year-old giant. Statements he makes in public will not harm the club’s position in any way.

It completely depends on what’s going on in the incoming players’ minds and what they want in their careers. Sadio Mane is an amazing striker of the ball and is currently interested in joining the German Champions according to reports.

Sadio Mane could line up alongside Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane next season and could definitely be a goal-scoring threat for the opposition.
