AS Roma are reportedly looking to sign the star forward of Torino Andrea Belotti for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Belotti has been in pretty decent form this season for the Toro. The 27-year-old forward has made 34 Serie A appearances, managing to score 13 goals and six assists.

Torino bought the Italian international from Palermo in August 2015 for €8.4 million. And the current contract of the forward with the club will finish in June 2022.

After the appointment of José Mourinho, it was believed that the Giallorossi will be in the transfer market to fulfill the demands of the Portuguese manager. And this will be a very good addition for Mourinho if they can pull this deal off.

Will Roma manage to sign Belotti from Torino?

According to Calciomercato, after fighting for survival with Torino for the last six years. Andrea Belotti is looking for a new challenge with a great team. The arrival of Josè Mourinho puts Roma in the pole position for the signature of Belotti.

The Special One is an admirer of the Italian forward and wanted him last summer at Tottenham Hotspur. But, his desire might come true with Roma this summer.

As Belotti has only one year remaining in his contract and he has no intention of a renewal. So, it is very much likely that Torino will have to sell him this summer or lose the forward for free next summer.

Roma believes that a fee of around €30 million will be enough for Belotti or the Giallorossi to include some youngsters in case Torino wants more. A contract worth €3.5 million per year is also ready for Belotti.

Mourinho will be a crucial factor if Roma can sign Torino forward Andrea Belotti this summer. The forward will be a perfect replacement for aging Edin Dzeko. And Belotti has the quality to create chances for his teammates as well. So, it will be a very good marriage for both parties.

It will be interesting to see what Mourinho can do with Roma next season. The Portuguese manager chose the right destination to regain his reputation in Serie A where he was very successful with Inter Milan. However, if the Special One fails to deliver this time as well that will definitely end his managerial career with big teams.
