Manchester Utd are looking to act quickly on defensive options for the summer window. According to Fichajes, Barcelona have now dropped their asking price for Ronald Araujo to €50 million. This has got Utd to act quickly.
Araujo has become a key for the Catalans. But, their financial issues at the Camp Nou could mean that he is up for sale. The Spanish side is eyeing a move for Bournemouth’s Huijsen as well. However, they need to sell the Uruguayan first to raise funds for the deal.
Utd admire the Uruguayan’s physicality and leadership in defense. So, they could take full advantage of the situation. If a deal goes through, the defender could become a regular starter in Ruben Amorim’s three-man defence.
The Deal Could Help Re-establish United’s Depth Issues
Ruben Amorim is expected to overhaul much of the squad over the summer at Man Utd. Amorim needs more defensive options as he does not have much depth at that position.
