Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves has dropped hints about leaving the club this summer following the final game against Liverpool

The 25-year-old joined the Molineux Stadium back in 2017 from Portuguese giants FC Porto. The midfielder took no time to settle down in the new surroundings. And he has established himself as a key member of the first-team squad over the past few campaigns.

Meanwhile, the Portugal international was linked with a move away from Wolves last summer. But, a deal never materialized. And once again this summer he is linked with other clubs.

Speaking with the press after the defeat against Liverpool, quoted by Birmingham Mail. The midfielder hasn’t expressed his desire clearly. However, Ruben Neves has hinted that he might be exploring the possibility of taking a bigger challenge in his career. He said:

“The only thing I can tell you at the moment is that everyone knows what football is about, what our lives are about. Our career is really short and we need to take the opportunities we have. All of us have dreams and we need to live those dreams in a small space of time. Let’s see what happens, I cannot say too much about it.”

Where will Ruben Neves go this summer?

Manchester United and Arsenal are seemingly eyeing a move for the 25-year-old this summer. While Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring the midfielder’s current situation.

The Portuguese still has two years remaining in his current contract. And therefore, he might not be a cheaper candidate. However, Wolves have sold their star for a reasonable price, unlike other Premier League clubs.

So, it will be interesting to see where the future of Ruben Neves lies next season. He has showcased his talent during his time at the Molineux Stadium. Therefore, he could be a very good addition to any of the aforementioned suitors.
