Sarineo Fernandes joins SC East Bengal ahead of New Season

Sarineo Fernandes joins SC East Bengal on a permanent deal. Further Fernandes departs from the ISL outfit FC Goa after 4 years in Association with the Gaurs. And both the clubs came to an agreement and Fernandes joins East Bengal for an undisclosed fee.

“Sarinero departs the Gaurs with the winner’s medals in the Goa Pro League, TACA Goa Championship (GFA U20 Cup), and the Goa Police Cup”. – said the club Officially on a press release.

“Everybody at FC Goa thanks Sarineo for his contributions over the past four seasons and wishes him the very best for the rest of his career.” – Further stated in the press note.

He joined the Gaurs in the summer of 2017 from Dempo SC. And soon became a regular in their U-18 team. Then he was soon placed in their development team and won their first-ever Goa Pro League title in 2018.

However, the 20-year-old failed to make the first team. And his game time with the Gaurs was also considered less.

In addition, Sarineo Fernandes was part of their Unbeaten Durand Cup Champaign in 2019, in which the development team were kicked out due to goal difference.

Certainly, he was also named as the captain for the development team last season. Seems like the youngster is ready to offer more. And this move could help to develop his career as a footballer.

SC East Bengal confirmed their Participation in ISL last week. And after the settlements with a couple of players. An agreement with the investor made the AIFF lift their transfer ban. Hence they are in the full swing to sign new players for the club. Let’s hope they finish better than last year.
