Arsenal now have another chance to sell Leandro Trossard and bag profit. As per the latest reports, Saudi side Al-Ittihad have submitted an improved offer to sign the Belgian international.
Trossard was wanted by Saudi side this summer itself. It was reported that Al-Ittihad submitted an offer worth €35 million to sign him. But, Gunners rejected the offer quickly and stated that Trossard was not for sale. At that moment, Arsenal viewed the Belgian a key aspect for their plans.
But now, it seems like Gunners maybe open to sale him next year. It is also believed that they may part ways with him in January if a suitable offer arrives. It is mainly because Trossard has failed to deliver this season.
Ever since club captain Martin Odegaard got injured, Mikel Arteta has used Trossard as an attacking midfielder. But the Belgian international has not been able to meet the expectations. Hence, it may seem like Gunners may part ways with him and the new offer from Saudi looks impressive.
Arsenal to part ways with Leandro Trossard?
As per The Mirror, Al-Ittihad are now ready to pay around £40 million for Trossard. Gunners may view this amount just enough to part ways with 29 years old attacker. Trossard still has two more months to show his worth and will surely try to do so.
As of now, he is really struggling to improve his tally. He has only score 2 goals and is yet to pick an assist in 10 league games. Last season, he was able to score 12 goals and pick 1 assist in 34 league games.
Gunners are already planning for his replacement. Recently they have been linked with West Ham superstar Mohammed Kudus. Along with Kudus they are also keeping tabs on Bryan Mbeumo and Antonie Semenyo. All of these three stars are young and having a good season.
