Reportedly, Al-Hilal is plotting a big-money move for Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz ahead of the summer transfer window.
Saudi Clubs Have Got Darwin Nunez And Luis Diaz On Their Target List
As per a report by CaughtOffisde, Al-Hilal are planning to sign Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz this June window. The UAE outfit is looking to offer a package of around €160 million. According to reports, Liverpool is fine with Nunez leaving this summer. He hasn’t lived up to the fee they paid for him after arriving from Benfica.
The Uruguayan has market value around €80 million at the moment. Meanwhile, Arne Slot is looking to sign a new centre-forward, it looks like it’ll go through. Saudi clubs have expressed strong interest recently. However, other suitors like Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid are also involved.
Diaz, on the other hand, is not on Slot’s immediate sell list. But, the club would consider serious offers around the €80 million mark. Despite his flashes of brilliance, past interest from top European clubs like Barcelona and PSG never went beyond scouting stages. Now, with Al-Hilal showing intent to pay big, Liverpool may look tempted.
Liverpool’s Summer Shake-Up Begins
The potential exits of Diaz and Nunez are part of a wider summer overhaul at Anfield. Young midfielder Tyler Morton will also leave this summer. Liverpool are likely to get around £20 million for the academy product. He joins Ben Doak on a five-player list likely to be sold.
The Reds are looking to raise up to £170 million in funds. These sales will fuel a major squad refresh under new manager Arne Slot.
One name already being looked at is Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. He offers flexibility across the front line, something Slot values highly.
The summer window could see Liverpool take bold steps in reshaping their attack. Their player sales will likely come into play for new signings.
