SC East Bengal in advanced talks to sign Subha Ghosh from Kerala Blasters

Subha Ghosh may be the next sweep of SC East Bengal just before the Indian Super League season starts. As a result, the SC East Bengal are advancing their talks with Kerala Blasters for the signing of Subha Ghosh.

Subha comes from the Mecca of Indian Football Kolkata, West Bengal. He rose through the ranks of Mohun Bagan academy the arch-rivals of East Bengal. Both the teams sharing a 100-year-old legacy. Rising through the ranks of the academy.

As a result, he did play for the Mariners in the I-league then and bagging the title in the season of 2019-20. Later continuing with ATK Mohun Bagan. Playing in eight matches in the 2019-20 I-league season and bagging three goals including the I-league trophy.

But not making a single appearance for ATK Mohun Bagan in the ISL. Looking for playing minutes he signs for Kerala Blasters in January earlier this year. He fell into a controversy regarding a swap deal between ATK Mohun Bagan and Kerala Blasters surrounding including him and Nongdamba Naorem – Subha Ghosh. As result not being able to play in the ISL and waiting for AIFF’s decision.

Unfortunately, the decision came too late the ISL was done and dusted by then. Later Subha was on the verge of playing for their Reserve team in the Kerala Premier League. He could not play owing to an injury.

The 2003 ASEAN Club Championship winner SC East Bengal is trying hard to prepare for the ISL Season 2021-2022. They are in a hurry cause they were in a mess of arguments and misunderstandings with the club stakeholders Shree Cements. Luckily the misunderstandings and contract problems have now been solved. The transfer window closes on August 31, which has left the club in a dire state with thin time to talk with other clubs to sign or loan players.
