SC East Bengal and Robbie Fowler hopes for first win of this ISL season

Kolkata giants SC East Bengal playing NorthEast United FC at Tilak Maidan, Vasco on Saturday Indian Super League fixture.

Newly formed SC East Bengal are yet to win a point in this edition of ISL 2020-21. They have played two matches and lost both of them, and now sit at last position in the league table. They also failed to score in both fixtures, lost by 0-2 to rivals ATK Mohun Bagan and 0-3 to Mumbai City FC.

It’s a wonderful opportunity in the hands of East Bengal to get something out of the game after two tough games against teams that would finish either first or second this season. Manager Robbie Fowler will be trying his best against the NorthEast side for a point at least.

First and Foremost Fowler needs to understand they can’t play expansively this season because their players are not making a large number of passes. Also, their defense is not that astute when facing the counter-attacking from opposition teams(As we can observe from Adam le Fondre goal against them). They should maintain their shape in attack and while facing transitions.

In the last fixture against Mumbai City FC, they have very few positives one of them is Jeje. When Jeje came as a sub he provided more mobility and target point than Balwant Singh. Mohammed Rafique looks good taking decent shots in goal, again they have not scored a solitary goal.
