Ronald Koeman and Sergi Roberto seem to have different opinions on how would Barcelona finish this season. As the Catalans played their 0-0 draw against Cadiz, Sergi Roberto was called for a post-match interview. And the Spaniard gave a reply on being asked where do see Barcelona finish this season. While Roberto’s answer was told to Koeman and Dutchman had totally different opinions on it.
Barcelona are currently without a win in their last three games, as they lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League opener. Then had a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Granada were Ronald Araujo saved the day. And on Friday, the Catalans played another 0-0 draw against Cadiz. Following which Ronald Koeman’s job looks in a very discomfort position.
As the Catalans returned to the pitch after a disappointing draw against Cadiz, Sergi Roberto was called to give an interview about Barcelona’s performance. Roberto said “At this club, we have to win La Liga, I’m not interested in just finishing top four. “We have a very good squad, some players have left, but that’s no excuse, we have to come together and aim to win La Liga.”
But when Ronald Koeman was told about Roberto’s opinion, he had some different answers to give. As Koeman said “I have already said a number of times that you have to try to win each game, that you have to try to win titles. “But you have to be realistic. One has to see the squad that we have, the people that we are missing. “And also, I have said that if all the players are available, but we are still missing seven.”
It seems the Barcelona players and manager have different visions about how would they like to end the season. Some want to win the La Liga and some want to just finish top four showing a poor squad.
