Sir Alex Ferguson Glad to Retired Before Facing Current Liverpool Side

Sir Alex Ferguson is glad he retired before facing the current Liverpool side. The former Gaffer of Manchester United had the most successful spell as a manager where he helped the club win 38 accolades in his 26 years of managing the club.

The awards consist of winning the Uefa Champions League twice to winning 13 Premier League titles.

The 79-year-old has been reckoned as being one of the best managers to have had undertaken a managerial career as he has gone on to win all accolades that can be won by a club hence he is regarded as one of the best managers of all times.

Does Sir Alex Ferguson fear the current Liverpool side?

According to GIVEMESPORT Sir Alex says he is glad he retired after watching Klopp’s team.

Ferguson had played Liverpool 65 times where he had won 30 times, drawn 14 times and had lost 21 times.

His track record against Liverpool is quite impressive as he witnessed more wins then losses however in a recent interview he says

“Thank goodness I’ve retired when I see Liverpool’s performances in the past two years,” Ferguson said during a virtual charity night for The Alzheimer’s Society. “They have been phenomenal.”

This is praise of the highest order coming from Sir Alex and he feels the current Liverpool side would have caused problems to United if he had taken over.

Manchester United who are 1st in The Premier League will take on Liverpool on the 17th of January, United who have a 3 point lead against Liverpool can extend it to 6 provided that they win the Derby on Sunday.

The last time United were 1st in the Premier League was back in 2013 and the same year they went on to win the Premier League so History could repeat itself provided that they win the remaining games that are to be played in the Premier League.
