Some Manchester United Players Are Ready To Get Their Chance

Manchester United is busy in the transfer market, and want to make new signings to improve the squad depth. However, an opportunity is knocking for some of the United players in the pre-season tour. United’s boss Ten Hag already revealed to the media that the club will start the friendly matches a day after Euro 2024 final, with United facing Rosenborg in Norway.

Ten Hag always used friendlies as a blueprint for the start of the season. This year’s friendlies will be the same. As most of the senior players are on international duty for their respective countries, there is no doubt that many young talents will be named in those matches and get a chance to show their talents.

Manchester United players could improve in the pre-season

Tyrell Malacia

One of them is Tyrell Malacia. Since, his joining in 2022 from the Dutch side Feyenoord, Malacia managed to make 39 appearances for the Red Devils. The Dutch left-back made his last appearance for United back in May 2023. Since then the 24-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance for the Red Devils.

Malacia mainly suffered the whole of the last season from injury, was absent for the whole year, and was only visible during Marcus Rashford’s infamous birthday party. However, the Dutch international is fully fit now and eager to start in the first friendlies against Rosenborg in the pre-season campaign for United.

Harry Amass

Another Young talent, who could be a breakthrough for United is another left-back Harry Amass. The 17-year-old joined the United U18 from Watford FC under-18 in 2023. Amass made 22 appearances for the UnitedU-18, helping them to win the Premier League U-18 title.

Amass already trained with the first team in February this year. The 17-year-old was on the bench against Liverpool on April 13. Since then the youngster has been on the bench for three to four matches, including in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry. for the Red Devils. However, Amass was never used by Ten Hag yet. But it seems like the pre-season friendlies are very important for the youngster to develop.

Luke Shaw

The pre-season will not only beneficiary for youngsters, as some of the active squad players are also hoping to get back in the rhythm. One of them is England International Luke Shaw. Before the start of the last season, Shaw had an average of 28.8 appearances per season, over the nine seasons with Manchester United. However, The 28-year-old made only 15 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions. Shaw suffered the majority of the season from injuries. The English international last played for Manchester United against Luton Town back in February this year. Luke Shaw is one of the first-choice left-back for the England national team. But the injury cut short Shaw’s position in the England squad for the Euro 2024 tournament.

However, Luke Show is determined to back in his form and the 28-year-old believes that the pre-season is an important platform to get back in the rhythm.
