Stefano Sensi: Inter open to letting go of the Italian star this summer

Auxerre

The newly-promoted side Monza is reportedly showing interest in signing Inter Milan star Stefano Sensi as per the report in Italian outlet Tuttosport(via SempreInter).

The 26-year-old joined the Nerazzurri back in 2019 on an initial loan deal from Sassuolo. And the deal became permanent in the following summer. However, the move hasn’t been a great success.

The midfielder has struggled with his injury problems at Giuseppe Meazza. And it restricted him from playing regularly. Meanwhile, Stefano Sensi spent the second half of the last season out on loan at Sampdoria. He made 20 appearances in Serie A and scored a solitary goal.

Meanwhile, according to the report, Inter is ready to offload their flop this summer. And Monza is willing to sign the 26-year-old. But, the Nerazzurri are eager to include the Monza wing-back Carlos Augusto in this deal and sign the young Brazilian in order to replace Ivan Perisic.

However, the newly-promoted side wants to keep hold of the 23-years-old. And they do not want to make any swap deals.

Will Inter be able to sign Carlos Augusto in a swap deal for Stefano Sensi?

The 26-year-old hasn’t enjoyed great success at San Siro. So, finding his future away from Inter Milan will be the right decision for the Italian international.

Meanwhile, it will be a gamble for Monza to sign Stefano Sensi. Given the midfielder has struggled with his injury problems in recent years. And the newly-promoted side needs their star player fit in order to survive in the Serie A next season.

On the other hand, signing Carlos Augusto will be an interesting choice from the club’s hierarchy. They already have Robin Gosens at their disposal who will finally be able to play following Ivan Perisic’s departure. So, adding the 23-years-old in order to play as a second fiddle to the German could be a shrewd decision.
