Table toppers lock horns for youngster

Premiere League table toppers Arsenal are set to make an audacious attempt for La Masia product Alejandro Balde.

Alex Balde, born in 2003, plays for a year above always. Coupled with skill and strength, he is the poster boy of modern explosive fullbacks, spending more time in the opposition half. He made his debut for the Spanish National side in Qatar World Cup in 2022.

With his current deal set to expire in 2024, Arsenal and Newcastle are both eyeing to woo the youngster, with Barcelona trying to hold onto him with a new contract on the table.

Table Toppers set eyes on the youngster

The Gunners and the Blaugranas are both leading in their respective leagues. While Barcelona are faltering every now and then for a while now, Arsenal are looking as solid as they have in a while.

Mikel Arteta would eye a swoop for Balde from Barcelona, similar to Cesc Fabregas in his teenage years.

Barcelona have unbalanced accounts and it will be an uphill task for them to register the said contract because of La Liga’s salary cap.
